Mark your calendars now! Aquatic Adventures is hosting a training and travel open house on Saturday, December 6. We have asked our instructors to give informational presentations on some of the classes being offered this winter. This is your chance to find out about some exciting opportunities for you to "get wet" even during the off-season.

In addition, Anne Bates (PADI Assistant Instructor) will be giving a presentation on her travels to the Rea Sea and Egypt.

Saturday, December 6

9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Beginning Scuba: What Does it Take to Get Certified?

Instructors and sales staff will be available all day to discuss what is involved in getting certified. Find out more about the PADI Open Water Diver course, and enjoy special savings on the beginner class all day.

10:15 a.m.  DEMP: Be Ready in an Emergency

Tim Nipko, Diver's Alert Network (DAN) instructor, will provide an overview of the DAN Diving Emergency Management Provider (DEMP) program. Be ready in an emergency. Find out more about the training you will receive in this course from the instructor who teaches it. Free to the public.

10:30 a.m.  Sea Signs: Communicating Underwater with Sign Language

Maureen Peters, PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, will give a brief overview of the benefits of communicating underwater with sign language. She will discuss the prerequisites, requirements, and provide a description of what is involved in learning signing in the PADI Sea Signs distinctive specialty. Free to the public.

11:00 a.m.  Red Sea Presentation

Anne Bates, PADI Assistant Instructor, will give a presentation on her travels to Egypt and the Red Sea. Free to the Public.

2:00 p.m.  SeaLife Camera Presentation

Jerry Otte, underwater photography instructor, will offer tips on how to use and take pictures with SeaLife cameras and give some background on the PADI Underwater Digital Photography class. Free to the public.

Tim Nipko, DSAT Gas Blender instructor, will provide an overview to the DSAT Gas Blender course. Tim will discuss prerequisites and requirements. Free to the public.

3:00 p.m.  Downloading the Google Calendar

Tim Nipko will demonstrate how you can download the Aquatic Adventures Event Calendar into Outlook or your Google Calendar. Free to the public.
