Required equipment for Adventure Diver program:

For all dives, students must have a mask, fins, snorkel, appropriate exposure protection, dive knife/tool, scuba tank, buoyancy control device with low-pressure inflator, weight system, regulator, alternate air source, submersible pressure gauge, depth gauge, timing device and/or dive computer, compass and Recreational Dive Planner. For the Night Dive, student divers must each have an underwater light and whistle. In addition, all students must have an underwater slate and writing instrument on each dive.

*Important: PADI instructors have the right to deny any student diver the right to participate in an Adventure Dive if that student does not have proper scuba equipment.

Prerequisites for Advanced Dive Theory:

12 years of age or older. Students are not required to be certified divers.

Prerequisites for Adventure Diver Training :

All divers participating in the PADI Adventure Diver program must:

  • Be 12 years of age or older
  • Hold the PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification or a qualifying certification from another agency
  • Have documented proof of having done an open water dive within the last 3 months
    OR
  • Have taken the PADI Scuba Review course within the last 4 weeks

Requirements for certification:

PADI Adventure Diver - Any three Adventures Dives.
PADI Advanced Open Water - Deep Dive, Navigation Dive, and three other Adventure Dives.

Requirements for participating in open water training:

For the safety of our students and instructors, Aquatic Adventures requires anyone participating in Advanced Open Water training to show proof of having done an open water dive within the last three months. Anyone who has not done an open water dive within three months will be asked to enroll in a Scuba Review course.

Aquatic Adventures, Inc. Lecture on General Skills and Environment. Complete Sections Four: General Skills and the Diving Environment in the Diving Knowledge Workbook by reading "The Underwater Adventure" and "The Ocean Planet" in the Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving and other related material.

Thursday, February 7, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Aquatic Adventures, Inc. Lecture on Dive Equipment. Complete Section Three: Diving Equipment in the Diving Knowledge Workbook by reading "Dive Equipment" in the Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving.

Thursday, February 14, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Aquatic Adventures, Inc. Lecture on Physics. Complete Section One: Diving Physics in the Diving Knowledge Workbook by reading "Diving in the Material World" in the Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving.

Thursday, February 21, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Aquatic Adventures, Inc. Lecture on Physiology. Complete Section Two: Diving Physiology in the Diving Knowledge Workbook by reading "The Physiology of Diving" in the Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving.

Thursday, February 28
Cozumel Dive Travel. No class.

Thursday, March 6, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Aquatic Adventures, Inc. Lecture on Decompression Theory. Review of how to use the Table, Wheel, and eRDP versions of the RDP. Complete Section Five: The Recreational Dive Planner in the Diving Knowledge Workbook by reviewing the instructions manual for the Table and the Wheel.

Thursday, March 13, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Aquatic Adventures, Inc. Complete the Deep Diving, Underwater Navigation, Boat, Search and Recovery, and Wreck Dive knowledge reviews in the Adventures in Diving Manual.

Saturday, June 7, 7:30 a.m.
Pearl Lake. South Beloit, IL. Approximate travel time from downtown Milwaukee is 1 hour and 15 minutes. A $15 entry fee will be collected each day by Pearl Lake Club. Dives offered: Wreck Dive, Navigation Dive, and Search and Recovery Dive.

Sunday, June 8, 7:30 a.m.
Lake Michigan. Wreck Dive and Boat Dive. Anyone attending these dives must sign up for a Lake Michigan wreck dive. See our Lake Michigan schedule for prices.
