Required equipment for Adventure Diver program:
For all dives, students must have a mask, fins, snorkel, appropriate exposure protection, dive knife/tool, scuba tank, buoyancy control device with low-pressure inflator, weight system, regulator, alternate air source, submersible pressure
gauge, depth gauge, timing device and/or dive computer, compass and
Recreational Dive Planner or dive computer. For the Night Dive, student divers must each
have an underwater light and whistle. In addition, all students must
have an underwater slate and writing instrument on each dive.
*Important: PADI instructors have the right to deny any student diver the right to participate in an Adventure Dive if that student does not have proper scuba equipment.
Prerequisites for training:
All divers participating in the PADI Adventure Diver program must:
- Be 12 years of age or older
- Hold the PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification or a qualifying certification from another agency
- Have documented proof of having done an open water dive within the last 3 months
OR
- Have taken the PADI Scuba Review course within the last 4 weeks
Requirements for certification:
PADI Adventure Diver - Any three Adventures Dives.
PADI Advanced Open Water - Deep Dive, Navigation Dive, and three other Adventure Dives.

Thursday, September 2, 7:00 p.m.
Aquatic Adventures, Inc. Orientation and class summary. Pay
for books and complete paperwork.
Thursday, September 23, 7:00 p.m.
Aquatic Adventures, Inc. Discuss knowledge reviews for Wreck, Navigation,
Search and Recovery, Deep and Peak Performance Buoyancy diving.
Friday, September 24, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Pick up gear for open water training.
Saturday, September 25, 7:30 a.m.
Pearl Lake. South Beloit, IL. Approximate travel time from downtown Milwaukee is 1 hour and 15 minutes. A $20 entry fee
will be collected each day by Pearl Lake Club. Dives offered: Peak
Performance Buoyancy, Navigation Dive, and Wreck Dive.
Sunday, September 26, 7:30 a.m. (Milwaukee)
Lake Michigan. Boat Dive
and
Deep Dive. Anyone attending these dives

Important note: This schedule is subject to change. Always confirm confined water and
open water locations and times in advance.
UWM RENTAL POLICY: Students will be issued
life support equipment for open water dives. There is no charge for using this
equipment, provided the student completes all dives in one weekend. Normal
rental fees will apply to any additional days needed to complete certification.
All rented equipment may be used only by the student it is issued to and only
for purposes of scuba training in this course. Use for any other purpose is
strictly prohibited. Any student found in violation of this policy will be
expelled from class and all course fees will be forfeited.
During the time of rental, students are responsible for the
proper care of the rented gear as outlined in the PADI Open Water Diver
manual. Students will be charged for any damage to equipment that is the result
of negligence, including exposure to heat or cold. Students will also be charged
for the return of equipment that has not been properly rinsed following open
water training.
All rental equipment is due back to Aquatic Adventures, Inc.
by 4:00 p.m. on the Sunday following open water training. Students who pick up
equipment and then fail to show up for an open water training dive must return
their gear by 4:00 p.m. on the next business day. Any student who fails to
return gear at the appropriate time will be charged a $65 per day late fee. No
certifications or university grades will be issued to students who fail to
return their gear or have outstanding balances with Aquatic Adventures, Inc.
that are the result of late returns or damage due to negligence. Equipment that
is not returned within 3 business days of the return date will be considered
stolen and will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
CERTIFICATION:
Open water training is a required part of the Advanced Open Water program at the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee. A $31 certification fee is included in the course fee. This
fee is non-refundable. The standard life-support equipment rental package fee is provided free of
charge as a courtesy to UWM students attending open water training for one
weekend. Standard rental rates will apply if the student fails to complete all
open water dives during the scheduled class.
Personal gear, entries fees, boat fees and any other items that are not provided in the
standard Aquatic Adventures Advanced Open Water Diver course are the responsibility of
all students attending open water dives.
MISSED CERTIFICATION
DIVES: Students who fail to show up for an open water
dive will need to pay an additional $25 to reschedule for another day. This fee
is non-refundable.
UWM POLICIES AND
FEES: All University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee students
are required to familiarize themselves with the schedules, policies, and fees
associated with scuba training by reading through the material provided at
http://www.dive-aai.com/uwm. Aquatic Adventures will not be responsible for
any inconveniences or issues arising from students claiming to be unfamiliar
with the material provided for their benefit on this website.
